WINNERS BRACKET: TEAM ALPHA 3 vs ALL-IN

Banned Characters: Kolin and Poison

Punk’s ALPHA 3 and iDom’s ALL-IN are 1-1 against one another in the regular season and this is the all-important tie-breaker. Way back in week one ALL-IN got the 3-0 clean sweep against ALPHA 3 and in week eight ALPHA 3 got payback with its own 3-0 clean sweep. In this final rematch of the season it was a much more even Team Battle with ALPHA 3 winning 3-2.

801 Strider was the standout for ALL-IN, getting wins against CJ Truth and Nephew to have a chance at an OCV. Unfortunately for him, the last player he would face is Punk, one of the world’s best players. 801 Strider put up his best performance of the season during this Team Battle but Punk ended his run with a 2-0 win to send ALL-IN to the Losers bracket to face the winner of DYNAMITE and NASR. ALPHA 3 moves on to the Finals on the Winners side.

LOSERS BRACKET: TEAM DYNAMITE vs NASR

Banned Characters: Balrog and Rashid

The record when DYNAMITE and NASR faced off during the regular season was tied at 1-1 with DYNAMITE winning 3-4 in week four and NASR getting the 3-0 clean sweep win in the week twelve rematch. Here in the playoffs it was a repeat of their last meeting with NASR getting another decisive 3-0 team sweep. NASR was firing on all cylinders in this Team Battle with only MenaRD winning a game for DYNAMITE. NASR now moves on to the Losers Finals to face ALL-IN to decide who moves on to the Finals.

LOSERS FINALS: TEAM ALL-IN vs NASR

Banned Characters: Akuma and Poison

It was win or go home time for ALL-IN and NASR as they faced off in the Losers Finals. Both teams left it all on the playfield with each matchup being very close. NASR pulled into a nice lead with Samurai and AngryBird eliminating SKZ and 801 Strider in tough matches. Luckily for ALL-IN, their final player was none other than current Capcom Cup Champion iDom.

iDom’s Laura got the 2-0 win against Big Bird with the surprise Ken pick. The next matchup against Samurai was a very close one but once again iDom came out on top 2-1. The Team Battle would come down to team captain iDom against the recently crowned SEIKO MVP, AngryBird. AngryBird would prove worthy of that MVP status one last time with a thrilling defeat of iDom to eliminate ALL-IN and to earn a much deserved victory for NASR.

RESULTS

ALPHA 3’s win against ALL-IN in the Winners bracket sends them to the Finals on the Winners side. NASR’s dramatic wins against DYNAMITE and ALL-IN will allow them to move on to the Finals on the Losers side.
