It’s week twelve of STREET FIGHTER LEAGUE: PRO-US 2020 season 3 and just a few short weeks remain before the playoffs. Only the top four teams in the standings will earn a spot to compete so winning every round counts! This week’s Team Battles pit ALPHA 3 against UYU while NASR takes on DYNAMITE.

TEAM ALPHA 3 vs UYU
Banned Characters: Falke and Cammy
The first Team Battle of the episode was Punk’s Team ALPHA 3 against Oil King’s Team UYU. It was a battle of first place versus last place. ALPHA 3 is riding a huge crest of well deserved confidence, having won every Team Battle since week one. UYU, in contrast, continues to hunt for their first win.
As UYU’s Kami said in the pre-battle interview, they might not be in the playoffs but they will still try to take other teams down. UYU had everything going their way at first with JB’s Rashid defeating Punk’s Seth in the first matchup. They followed that up with Kami’s Seth eliminating CJ Truth’s Necalli, leaving only Nephew in play for ALPHA 3. Even after both of these losses ALPHA 3’s confidence was sky-high with its players smiling and laughing amongst themselves between rounds.
Then UYU ran into Nephew and was stopped cold. Nephew’s Kolin defeated each of UYU’s team members to earn a well-deserved OCV. It was an incredible change in fortunes during this Team Battle but ALPHA 3 did not lose their swagger for a second. ALPHA 3 adds yet another win and UYU continues to look for that elusive first victory.

TEAM NASR vs DYNAMITE
Banned Characters: Cammy and Rashid
To say that this Team Battle was important to both teams is an understatement. Big Bird’s Team NASR and Smug’s DYNAMITE were both tied at 4-3 in the middle of the standings coming into this week. Both teams are also on winning streaks with DYNAMITE winning two in a row and NASR winning their last three.
This was a thrilling Team Battle from start to finish with NASR coming out on top with a huge team sweep win over DYNAMITE. Every single matchup went the full three games with some of them going to the very last round. The match between AngryBird’s Seth and MenaRD’s Abigail was absolutely sensational and Samurai’s win over Smug to complete the team’s win was exciting as well.
DYNAMITE fought well but NASR’s win this week breaks the tie and continues to boost the team’s confidence. Not only does it break the tie but NASR shoots all the way up to second place due to tiebreakers. NASR is red hot right now and at just the right time going into the final stretch of the season.

TEAM STANDINGS
ALPHA 3’s come from behind victory this week extends their first place lead with a 7-1 score. NASR’s win this week was huge for the team as they go from fourth place to second place over ALL-IN in third place with both at 5-3. DYNAMITE is in fourth place at 4-4 and PSYCHO SHINOBI is in fifth at 3-5. UYU is in last place at 0-8.
