STREET FIGHTER LEAGUE’s double round robin format means that every team will face each other twice over the course of the season. The first of the rematches for the second half of season four began last week with NASR’s impressive win over PANDA GLOBAL. Time is now increasingly becoming a factor as each team fights to remain as high in the standings as possible. Only the top four teams will move on to the Playoffs in week sixteen and earn a shot at getting to the Finals at Capcom Cup VIII at the end of February 2022. The first Team Battle this week was Team UYU taking on VODAFONE GIANTS. Next up we had Team BANDITS taking on first place Team NASR.

UYU vs VODAFONE GIANTS
Banned Characters: F.A.N.G. and Rashid
Its been something of a rollercoaster season for Infexious’ Team VODAFONE GIANTS. They came into season four strong by winning their first two Team Battles but then dropped two straight losses. Last week they got a big win against NORDAVIND to bring them back up to second place in the standings with a 3-2 record. For Oil King and Team UYU in last place at 1-4 they cannot afford to lose a Team Battle to have a chance at making the Playoffs. VODAFONE GIANTS got a 3-0 clean sweep in week one against Oil King’s Team UYU but that was certainly not the case here. It was a back and forth struggle but NL was the hero of the day for UYU as they pulled out a 3-2 victory.
NL turned some heads with a very quick 2-0 win over Mister Crimson’s Dhalsim in the first matchup, a character that has been a big problem for a lot of players in season four. VODAFONE GIANTS answered with back to back wins as Infexious’s Zeku bested Kami’s Akira and VegaPatch got a flashy win with his Juri over Oil King’s Seth. Only NL remained for UYU but he came through for his team in a big way here. NL looked nervous in the first few rounds against Infexious but he eventually got into his groove and defeated Infexious 2-1. With Mister Crimson and Infexious in the rearview mirror NL was able to eliminate VegaPatch with relative ease 2-0 to give UYU their second Team Battle win of the season.
Coming in with a record of 1-4 things looked grim for Team UYU but with their win this week and losses by VODAFONE GIANTS and BANDITS helped their chances tremendously. Their road to the Playoffs is still a steep hill to climb but it is within reach. This win is of course a great start and will be huge for UYU’s confidence going into their matchup against first place NASR next week. For VODAFONE GIANTS the rollercoaster continues with a loss here but we will see next week when they take on PANDA GLOBAL if they go down or rise back up.

BANDITS vs NASR
Banned Characters: M. Bison and Birdie
Big Bird’s NASR came into this Team Battle in a fairly comfortable position sitting at first place with a two game lead. The next four teams on the standings were all within a game of each other and MenaRD’s Team BANDITS was sitting at the bottom of the bubble in fifth place at 2-3. NASR defeated BANDITS with a convincing 3-0 in week five and while BANDITS did better in the rematch the results is unchanged. NASR got a 3-1 win to further entrench their position in first place.
AngryBird continues to deliver for his team, breaking out his Zeku to eliminate Venatori’s Cammy in the first set 2-0 and MenaRD’s Sakura 2-0 in the last to seal the win. Problem X’s win with Alex over Caba’s Guile was a huge blow to BANDITS. Alex has a tough matchup against Guile but Problem X made the right reads at the right times to get a tough win. On paper that was a matchup heavily in Caba’s favor but it just shows how strong of a player Problem X is. MenaRD once again had his team on his shoulders and his Sakura did get a 2-1 win over Big Bird’s Ken in a set with a frenetic pace but he was eliminated by AngryBird.
NASR came into this season as the STREET FIGHTER LEAGUE season three Champions and they continue to win. So far in season four the team lost their very first Team Battle in a very close 2-3 against PANDA GLOBAL in week one but has not lost a Team Battle since. BANDITS falls to 2-4 but due to tiebreakers they maintain their spot in fifth place. They will get a week off before facing VODAFONE GIANTS in week eleven.

TEAM STANDINGS
NASR extends its lead once again with a 3 game lead over second place with an impressive 6-1 record. The win by UYU and losses by VODAFONE GIANTS and BANDITS this week make the other five spots incredibly competitive as only one game separates them all. Due to tiebreakers there were no other moves in the standings from last week.
